OBJETO RITUAL

Pinceladas gestuales de trazos fuertes son la base técnica para estas capturas de momentos videográficos que componen la obra de Jenni Alvarado.

La gestualidad de los trazos crean una interesante trama para la composición de obras figurativas, donde partiendo de la escultura y el video, acaba siendo una obra pictórica.

El proceso importa: de entre miles de fotogramas solo uno inspira a Jenni para gestar lo que se convertirá en una pintura acrílica de aspecto amable pero con un punto perturbador.Jenni parte de la fabricación de objetos escultóricos de cierta simbología casi de ritual, los cuales dan pie al guión de sus vídeos, y así algunas escenas son elegidas como referencia e inspiración de su obra.

Máscaras, guantes y la simbología inherente de los propios materiales, colores y formas, convierten a los actores que portan las mismas en naturaleza muerta, liberando así el contenido simbólico de sí mismos.

Desde entonces sus proyectos artísticos han girado en torno al dibujo y a la pintura. Sin embargo, durante los últimos años, el formato audiovisual también forma parte de su proceso de creación. También la escultura, antes utilizada como recurso pictórico, cada vez obtiene una mayor presencia en su desarrollo artístico.

Gestural brushstrokes of strong strokes are the technical basis for these captures of videographic moments that make up the work of Jenni Alvarado.

The gestural strokes compose an interesting plot to create figurative works where starting from sculpture and video, ends up being a pictorial work.

The process matters: out of thousands of stills, only one inspires Jenni to gestate what will become an acrylic painting with a friendly appearance but with a disturbing point.Jenni starts from the fabrication of sculptural objects of certain symbolism almost ritualistic, which give rise to the script of her videos, and so some scenes are chosen as reference and inspiration for her work.

Masks, gloves and the inherent symbolism of the materials themselves, colors and shapes, turn the actors who wear them into still life, thus releasing the symbolic content of themselves.

Since then, her artistic projects have revolved around drawing and painting. However, in recent years, the audiovisual format is also part of her creative process. Sculpture, previously used as a pictorial resource, is also gaining more and more presence in his artistic development.
