His career starts from the urban landscape with scenes of asphalt, scrapyards and deserted cities with the absence of human figures. Working with acrylic and oil on large format primed board.
After a few years participating in various painting competitions in which he won several prizes (First prize
Bilbao City Council, first prize Villa de Durango, first prize Getxo painting, 2nd prize Universidad Popular Burgos, 2nd prize Asociación Artística Vizcaína, 3rd prize Ciudad de Frias, 3rd prize Ciudad de Medina de Pomar...) and recognitions, he starts a new path towards a work in which drawing and large format watercolors are the most important.
Currently, in his search for new alternatives and combining with his urban works of oil and acrylic focuses on the realization of portraits using coffee as the main pigment.
He has exhibited on numerous occasions both nationally (Vizcaya, Asturias, Vitoria, Madrid, Avila, Burgos ...) and internationally (National Museum of Watercolor Mexico, LÁRTE STUDIO BENEVETO ITALY.). He is Director of the National Biennial of Watercolor 50 m2,
in its four editions so far, which has toured several cities in Spain with more than 150,000 visitors.
He has been selected by the WURTH Museum in La Rioja (Project 120- 2014), by the MAPFRE Foundation (Penagos Drawing Award 2007) and by the AXA Foundation (years 2004, 2005 and 2015).
